Would it be wise to disconect the outside air handler when the temps below 40 degrees.This is an all electric system heat and ac

Disconnect? Never. I suggest shutting off at the thermostat a lower efficiency timed defrost heat pump in single digits and below (though many disagree) but at 40 degrees, any heat pump is putting out plenty of heat and very effiently.
