What is considered the norm or the acceptable variable for temperature differences between rooms when using a forced air heating system?

i say 3 degree too and if your not maintaining this at fan
shutdown you might have airflow problems. Speeding up indoor fan may help, but a contractor in your area may better assist you.

HELP HELP
The 3 degrees, does this include 2 floors? I am going crazy. I just had a 120,000 BTU removed and a 60,000 put in. The basement of my house is cold. I think the old duct work that the contractor said would be fine is to big. The 2 ton air conditioning unit also blows hardly any air the house is in upstate new york 2,200 square FT of conditioned area and the building volume is 18304 cu ft. Please Help with any ideas
