There are several "regular" contributors to this site. I am trying to get a feel for geographical location, and this would help to expedite that if you can let me know the state your located in. This helps me put your views in perspective.

so you are going to locationally profile us.
base your perspective on what you think of people from their geographical location. well as long as it is location, and not race, sexual orentation, political or religious beliefs, i guess it will be all right.

Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas
We don't have basements.
We don't have oil burners.
With the very rare exeption, all residential systems use a 3-4 foot supply plenum with flex duct to the registers.
Most systems are installed in ventalated attics.
Untill very recently, most cities had very poor code enforcement.
Unions mostly all died off in the 70's and 80's.
16+ SEER cooling equipment is a wise investment.
90%+ gas furnaces are a pointless investment. If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.
