Do we really need a new boiler?

We are moving into a 40-year-old home. We had the oil boiler serviced and the service tech said we need a new boiler, either right away or at least by the end of the season. What he said was that the "CO2 level was reading high" (no further information given).
Well, I am very confused. I looked at the readout slip he left. It lists at CO2 % of 11.5. From the research I can do on the web, this number looks just fine. Maybe he meant to say (and write) CO, not CO2? But he said (and wrote) CO2.
Here are the other numbers from the slip. Could someone let me know if it looks like we actually have a problem, or just a service tech who wants to sell a new boiler? Thanks. Oh, the existing oil boiler is an old Weil-McLain. Not sure how old it is, but clearly old. The oil burner was replaced two years ago (before we owned the house).
    Fuel: L 011
    O2%: 5.4
    CO2%: 11.5
    CO ppm: 59
    Flue F: 569.2
    INLT F: 46.3
    NETT F: 522.9
    EFF (G): 80.0
    LOSSES: 20.0
    XAIR %: 34.8
    CO/CO2: 0.0005
    CO AIR FREE: 79
    PRS inH2O: 0.08

Thanks so much for any help!

How old is the actual boiler? You said that the burner was two years old, but what about the rest of it? Is it as old as the house? If it's an old dinosaur then I would say replace it. Take a picture of it and post it so we can see it.

Have another technician look at it. Did he do any adjustments with the oil burner to achieve proper combustion? 11.5% CO2 is good.. 5.5 % O2 is good even your CO ppm is in range for an oil burner. So i'm not sure how the tech decided it needed to be replaced just based on this combustion test slip.. More information is needed here

To know if the CO is in range we need to know the reading when it starts, and when it shuts down. That reading you gave I will assume is at steady state conditions. For that its not too bad, though I usually like to see it a little lower.

I have an older Testo 325.

Kind of slow reacting but gets the job done.

Would like to get one from Bacharach, maybe after I take the class.

Where you from? I hope to go to one in Minneapolis as that is only 100 miles from me.

I think you need another opinion. To me the temp looks a bit high and that could mean you need a good cleaning where they tear the boiler down and brush inbetween the sectional fingers. It might also mean that your flue could use a brush or two, maybe an adjustment of draft.

Now that you say it that draft is a little high. Depending on where it was measured.
