the heat strips or aux seldom come on and yes it was warm and sunny in the 40's when it was checked out.when the aux heat does come on the heatpump is on.yes i have a fan pointing upward but does not make a difference.

I meant a ceiling fan blow the hot air down from the cathedral .

the ceiling fan is in the cathedral ceiling and i have tried it in both directions and it just gets the cold air blowing around more.

Have them check it again when the temps are coller, and ask them if your t stat has an adjustable heat anticipator, or cycles per hour for second stage.
If it does, they can set it so the second stage runs longer.
Also, ask if they can change the balance point stting for your strip heaters if it has a bp setting.
