I'm watching the end of the game and it looks like the fans are all wearing the same color. Wonder how they do that? Huh......oh wait... those are empty seats

My whole family was over to watch the game at my house. My 7 yo grand son was waving the Terrible Towel that Muskie sent me. He saw all the folks on TV waving the towel so he though it was fun.

After awhile he said, "Hey them people aren't 'shaking' their towels anymore." kids say the darnest things.

I was on the Pats side. But. Just like last weekend with Indy at the Pats. The Steelers were a huge dissapointment. The game was not even close to being exciting.

What I have a hard time understanding, and before I say this, let me say, I was a good athlete when young. And a sucessful one. You look at Rothlisberger. Played brilliant most of the year. Very impressive. Then he chokes. How does a guy who demonstrates such ability, then chokes like that. I don't get that. The Indy game was a mess too. Manning just choked. I do beleive the Pats are a good team, but it also seems like that those two quarterbacks were not having their best game when playing the Pats.

The game I loved though was the Philly defense. Did you all notice how well they contained Vick. They charged and blocked, but never over pursued and the pocket shrunk on him. It was pragmatic and disciplined in how they manipulated him to keep stepping back and not go to the outside. I think if every defense can do that to a guy like that, then Vick won't be worth all that money.

Chad711; The Red Sox kept me waiting 53 years and when they won it was bittersweet. I got what I wanted but I also lost something that had become part of my life. It's very strange no more wait till next year. But i'm learning to deal with the happyness that eluded us all these years. Now if we can only get the bruins and NHL back, fat chance I guess.

Dowadudda; The Pat's do that to a lot of QB's

Brady was better than Ben, end of story......
Maybe in a few years. Congrats to the Pats.
Steelers were suppose to have a 500 team this year, they did pretty good. In the end, only one team wins it all.
    Keep your terrible towels....

Dow, I think that in Manning's case that he is his own worst enemy. We Pats fans think our coach gets in to the young man's head. Actually, I now believe that he's intimidated before he even steps on the field to play the Patriots.

That kid for the Steelers has a lot of talent and can make things happen. He just needs a bit of experience with risk assessment.

Pats are losing two good coaches, that can hurt em.
Many times when the Steelers had a great year, they lost their coordinators, many became head coachs, some failed some didn't. Right now Malarkey in Buffalo and Haslet in New Orleans are still around. We also had Tony Dungy awhile back and others.

    Thumbs up Even

though I have lived in Lancaster all my life, I never liked the Eagles (always a Steelers fan), but I will be rooting for the Eagles in 2 wks.. The Eagles D may be able to stop the big play and keep the game close.

Maybe we can rename them the Pittsburgh Aluminites. Not quite Steel anymore (lightweights).

I watched the game, and it seemed to me that while the Steelers were telling the Pats how tough they are. The Pats were showing the Steelers how tough they are.

Around here, from the gossip I got from the supply houses and customers today, everyone thinks the Pats are going to walk all over Philly.

All I want is a real good game, close in the end where one team makes a desparate drive to win. Something entertaining for once. If you ask me, my bent is because the games just aint exciting any more.

I still think Benny Rothlisberger is a pus, choking the way he did and Manning too the previous week,. Thesae guys get paid to play. So fricken play. Doesn't any one else think that way.

You take Manning last week. Didn't do shit. Whats up with that? He is so much better than that. Far as I am concerned until you can prove you can get it done, you should not be a big bucks player.

It's just such a dissapointement. Not wins or losses. Just the fact that performance of these guys in clutch situations. I am tired of it. I expect more.

You should have been at my house!!!!

After hearing how the Patriots suck all year. 'The only way they win is luck etc. etc.' Even, 3 out of 4 of the CBS commentators picked Pittsburgh just before the kick off.
So for a family of Patriots fans it was "exciting" to see a decisive victory.

    Nope.
Ben is a kid, 23, came in when Maddox got hurt and won like 14 games in a row, against good teams, in the NFL, many on the road, as a rookie.
Not even your hero Farve did that.
By the way, some of Bretts last few games were awful in case ya didn't notice, especially that one at home against the Vikes, he gave them the game.
I think ya need to get out of the weather and take a vacation........

in my opinion...there were two plays that determined this game and i believe both were either challenged or reviewed.....in both cases the patriots benefitted.....the first play was a fumble by the patriots in the first half, that was recovered by the steelers and after the play a flag was throwed for personal foul against pitt.,...the officials missed that call BIG time in my opinion....not only did they give the ball back to new england because they said he was down,...but they called 15 yard on personal foul against pitt.,.....that was kind of extreme for no more than was done that i saw,..........the other was the interception late in the second half.....i don't believe that guy had control of the ball and it looked to me as it was on the ground....but that's how it goes.the one thing that i didn't like that pitt. did was kick that field goal on fourth and goal,......i thought they should have went for the t.d........and got to within a touchdown.don't get me wrong i am not taking anything away from the patriots....they were the better team that day and flat out wanted it more....period.i have been a fan of pitt. for over a quater of a century.....and will be to the day i die.....never been to a game there and i was close to going last weekend-blizzard and all....but i backed out at last minute.....that would of made a long ride home that night. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS-AFC CHAMPS congratulations and good luck......mo-flo.
