According to this link and others I have seen it does say that cash paying customers get preferential treatment in Great Britain and Canada. I don't see this as a problem as long standards are kept.
"For example, Canadians sometimes choose to undergo cataract surgery on an
outpatient basis in private clinics. Although the government will pay the surgeon’s
fee, private patients often pay $1,000 to $1,200 in “facilities fees” to
obtain faster treatment than they can get at a government facility"

They better do something....by the year 2040, the indigenous people of England will become the minority and say hello to sharia law.

So you are saying that
andOh and their NHS waiting period to see a GP is on average 18 weeks.
are the same thing? Also your source saidThe wait may exceed 18 weeks for patients who:
* Are not medically fit to be treated, for example those who are too overweight for surgery to be performed safely
And this is for the following. An 18-week wait is the longest allowed. Most NHS patients do not wait anything like that long. The average wait for treatment for patients admitted to hospital is now 8.6 weeks. Patients who did not need to be admitted waited an average of 4.6 weeks as of January 2009.
Not as you said* Being admitted to hospital for an operation or treatment,
* Starting treatment that doesn’t require you to stay in hospital (for example, medication or physiotherapy),
* Beginning your fitting of a medical device such as a leg brace, or
* Starting an agreed period of time to monitor your condition to see if you need further treatment.
Sorry Pagey, I just had to state the obvious.NHS waiting period to see a GP is on average 18 weeks.

11-28-2010, 12:59 PM #24Can anyone claim otherwise?
They’re suggesting that the creation of Israel has been a disaster for the Palestinian people.
Get out! I don't believe it.The establishment of Israel in 1948 inflicted on the Palestinian people a continuing campaign of displacement, discrimination, exploitation and brutality that has continued to this day.
Mind you there are no clean hands in the Middle East.
