How did you all find this site?

A question I'm sure has been asked before, but I am curious, how did you all find HVAC-Talk?

I found it because I used to (And still do sometimes) post and lurk in alt.hvac, the group on Usenet.

Someone on there posted a link to a thread on the site in there. I clicked on the link which took me to the thread, and I then noticed the layout of the site, and clikced the link of the home page. The rest is history!

The first 2 nights on here I spent HOURS going through pics on the wall of shame. The one that took the cake for me was the package unit in an attic thread. Man I about fell out of my chair laughing so hard, could not stop laughing for 20 minutes! I then went to work and told everyone about it the next day.

And while we are at it, does anyone else on here post, or did they used to post in alt.hvac?

I dont really remember how I found this Site.Think I did a search on HVAC to try and get a Question I had answered Found the answer and whole lot more.Visit this site everyday for about 3 years now , I dont post alot but get alot out it.And if I have that hard to answer Question, I no where to go.There are some good people here, really good people.

I was bored one night and did a Google search for HVAC forums and I've been here ever since.

Similar to Spidy if I remember correctly. It has been a good source of information and entertainment for several years.

One of my favorite Wall of Shames was the package unit atop a package unit with flex arms.... That one kills me!

Was doing a search on something to do with hvac. I use to go in for hours at a time late at night trying to find and absorb every little piece of hvac information I could find or any web sights for hvac . Just stumble on it I guess. If I had found it by someone that I had known telling me about it, I would hunt him down like the dirty dog he is for getting me so addicted to something that I look in every spare minute of time I get to see if there is something new that interests me or trivial information that will be of importance at some time when Im trying to get something going. Its great to see everything from a different perspective or your own perspective in another persons mind.I never get tired of learning something new. Who needs to read books on fiction when you have this? THE REAL WORLD.

actually, i was searching info on LPA (liquid amplifier pump) and the first guy that i talk to was mr. O'brien from fridgetech.com, this guy really impressed me and still does.

I was looking for a pump curve and typed in b@g heating and some how this site came up. That was two years ago and ive been reading and learning ever since.

I found the site when all that was up was the home page saying "coming soon...". I bookmarked it in favorites, forgot about it for a while, then found it in my favorites, got slammed by James and harassed by Dice, and been hanging out ever since. (except for a couple years I didn't have a computer)
