Has really given my old clunker a bump up in speed. Plus, it's $15.00 cheaper per month.

It is 15.00 cheaper for the first year. Wait until you get the renewal contract.

34.99 per month here. I can't stand to get on a slow connection any more. Heck, I'm starting to get impatient when my connection is faster than some website server capabilities.

Here, cable is about $15 more, is it a special limited deal or something?
    It is nice regardless.

I've tried DSL, and of course I've had dial-up, and now I could never leave my cable internet. It may be more pricy, but with the speed, it's worth it by far!

As long as Comcast is in my region, cable will never again enter my home. To hell with those arrogant, overpriced bastards!

I switched to DSL from cable for my TV viewing and have never regreted it. I then switched from dialup to DSL and also quite happy. Comcast can go suck eggs!

Now if I could only get something decent on this mountain top submerged in an ocean that is my temporary home

My parents have faster computers but have cable and I like having DSL more. I also have satelite so that makes it a no brainer as well since our cable service is through comcast or what should be called crookcast.

    I use Bellsouth extreme DSL.

Download connection is 2.8 Mbps, upload is 360 Kbps.

    Plenty fast enough for me.

We've been doing so much, for so long, with so little, that now we can do almost anything, with nothing at all.
