Maxitrol Amplifier Problems
I am working on a MUA unit that uses the Maxitrol A1010A Amplifier for a Single Stage Main Valve. I had to replace the Venter motor due to the Proving swicth not Closing. Started Unit back up and everthing was good untill about 5 minutes of running the main burners, I noticed the A1010A Has a Capacitor on its board and it was Smoking Badly. However it did not fry the Board the unit still runs. My qusetion is does anyone know what that Capacitor is For, and why it might be Smoking and burning??
