The .45 has the highest rating for one shot stops. However, I still carry a 9mm (I have my CCW) because of the higher capacity and how nice and compact it is. A comfortable carry.

And that is all that it would take put a hole in the side of a Ford today.

I could be wrong on my statements of Fords made in the 1930's. Duh!
I did some research on the infamous duo in 1967 after watching the movie staring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. News papers in more than one state had reported that vehicles abandon by the Barrow Gang only had dents in the metal where they were hit by 45 cal rounds.

Perhaps my post would have fitted better in the 9mm thread.

Same here norm, I also have Sig 226. Not only does it hold 15 rounds with one in the pipe. It is a double action pistol. If I have ever have to shoot something, I don't want to stop and pull the hammer back.

    ex servicemen

I like my Colt Gold Cup best. Something about loving what you learn on, in the service, I believe.

Still my favorite, the 1911A1, I think it was. It's why I bought the Colt, later in life.

    NYC doesn't allow guns

That sure makes ME feel safer walking there than in rural areas where all of the LEGAL residents own firearms, and rarely use them.

I think the difference is enforcement of the laws. There is virtually NONE in NYC.

How well is the law enforced in Canada? With enforcement, it could work.
