house blows up after new furnace?

    http://host.madison.com/news/local/v...cc4c002e0.html

don't know yet who did the furnace, or if it's related.

Neighbors said the people living in the house recently had a new furnace installed, but Brandt could not confirm that or say whether it had anything to do with the explosion.

Depending on the level of investigation, yes.

When Payne Stewart's plane went down, they found the defective valve that caused the issue of low cabin pressure.

So, it IS possible to find the cause. All it takes is time, effort, and money.

Well so far the word is that there was a replacement recently, and no building permit pulled. No word on cause yet.

    Update:

Well it turns out that a well known contractor did this replacement 6 day before the home exploded. They did not pull a permit, and six days is plenty of time to get around to pulling one after the fact if it had been an emergency change out, so I think they are going to get slapped for this one. But still not determined the cause of the blast, may be un related.
