And you are using a vacuum pump and vibration pads. Are the lines in the wall?

Disconnects?
Have you used many Heat Controller minis? We did one a few years ago, evap sprung a leak rather quickly which was very annoying.

How far are the units from the wall? Doesn't the NEC require like 3' clearence in front a disconnect?

Indoor height
Would the unit not function better if it vwas above the window? You mey end up with stratification when the indoor heads are installed too far below the ceiling. Nice job, and if that is where the customer wants it...what can you do?

The reason why he canot install that unit above the window is because he doesnt have enought clearance betwen the evap an the ceiling, this clearence must be respected an varies betwen models and makes. is is usually betwen 7 and 10 inches. and they have clearances on the sides of the unit as well as below it.
The return of the evap is located on the upper part of it, and if the unit is close to the ceiling it may actually jump out on freze protection because it is like bypassing supply and return air.
I did hundreds of these minis installations and repairs, and i know them very well. The main problem they have is due to draining problems.
Another reason because he did not put that unit above the window is because you will not want to see refrigerant lines runing across the window!!
