I am a Realtor in Charleston, SC and recently had a home inspection done. Most of the time the inspector will state the age of the units. This inspector only the make, model and serial numbers. What I'd like to find out for my client is the approx. age of these units. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year.
Keep well,
Danny

seems kind of hard to be exact on the ages of older units even the modern ones that come with manf dates in the serial number you could be off because the unit could of been installed several years after the date

Carrier-24,000 /single phase/ 1960
Payne-24,000 /1998"Everyday above ground, is a good day".
"But everyday that you have made a difference in someones life, may insure you stay above ground a little longer".<aircooled>

The outdoor unit is a 1998. I think you have a typo on the serial number of the air handler. First 2 digits are the week, 2nd 2 are the year. Then the letter and the sequential number. That 40AQ is NOT from 1960, much newer.
