    The BBB is nothing more than a bunch of power hungry nobodies. They're a joke. The fact that you spoke to a "salesman" speaks volumes. Do you think the FBI has "sales people"? No. I'll never join the BBB. They're jokers. I'll buy an ad in "Consumer Reports". They're basically the same thing.

    I think it's obvious that most contractors see throught the BBB's fake facade but hopefully the public will see them for who they really are on websites like this one.

    Wasn't there something in the news recently where someone made up a fictitious company and paid the money to BBB and got it accredited?

    I'll see if I can find a link.

    It isn't so much what the contractor thinks about it as what the consumer thinks of it, and a lot of consumers think that anyone that is accredited is golden.
