As far as what you call "free riders", that is only from a union perspective. When there are no special interests from government for unions, things will be more equal.
High cost of living and a high standard of living also. You want things to be equal? Hmmmmmmmm, sounds good to me.

Actually around here the cost of living is lower, decent houses are right at
150k generally, gas seems below the average as well as food and everything else, and average wages are lower here than on both coasts.
As for labor unions costing more I am going to call BS we generally underbid a lot of merit shops around here and the contractor still averages 10% profit. We seem to be cheaper at the moment, thats here though dont know anything about there.

And on your last part there isnt making everything equal a communist idea that you claim to hate so much?

Union members have a better wage to cost of living ratio in right to work states. It is only the union bosses who want the protection of the government to force more workers to join the union.

Do you have any experience with unions to pass this judgement or do you just enjoy blindly fighting for the otherside? (this is meant to be playful, do not take offense)

Right to work is exactly what it implies; every American has the right to work without having those rights taken away from them by some Socialist organization that needs government protection to survive.
Without Socialist laws or unions we would not have. Mandatory overtime over 40 hours, child labor laws, no minimum wage, safer working conditions, anti discrimination laws, worker's comp, unemployment benefits, family and medical leave, age discrimination (well we all know this still happens), Equal pay for women and on and on.

By being so hateful towards unions he seems to not acknowledge these facts.
These are conditions that you find in communist countries that unions have prevented here.
It must be the conservative tactic of contradicting ones self to argue for the sake of arguing

Actually, what you call anti-union is more accurately pro-worker for all workers.

No I don't think so. But you go ahead and enjoy all that unions have done for you and keep on badmouthing them.
