I went to a party "in the hood". 2 hours of gunfire ringing out. Quieted down after midnight. Then I worked up the courage to go to my car. This apartment building was on Indy's main street!

We let off 2 bricks of 1000 firecrackers and then 5 mortors to equal 2005. My drunk neighbor was shooting his black powder gun.

Today is our New Years celebration. The whole family is coming to our house. We usually have a Christmas party the Saturday after Chirstmas. Of course this year is unique.
My daughter and the War Dept. poped a bottle of champagne at midnight. I was asleep by 12:30. See what happens when you turn 60.
The weather is so nice we could of had a back yard Bar-b-que. (except that the swimming pool is still frozen.)

Went to couples house for steamed clams........yum.....and of course I brought along some of my fireworks stash.

The cops in my neighborhood wont come near the place untill the shooting stops (or the firecrackers quit going off)
unless its something like the chineese new year celebration
and then all of a sudden it is perfectly legal to lite anything they want

Sleep by 10 :00 got woke up by phone @ 3:00. future sister in law got the sh*t beat out of her by hubby. 120 mile drive to pick her up. 120 miles back home . ps i turned 38 on the first happy birthday to me lol

Cops where cool. I had donated some stuffed animals last month and the Cheif of police and I ran down a stray dog once together. Good to be in a small town.
