The old beast {Armstrong}
The Thermo Pride WOOD FURNACE is tied into the duct system.
The new Thermo Pride.
Needless to say, it works a little better and uses a little less oil.

Is there a damper in the wood stove to keep the air from recirculating when not being used?

Wow, did you find a furnace built in the 1950's still new in the box in a warehouse somewhere?

The first time I saw a picture of a new Thermopride furnace, I thought "wow, thats a need retro look they have going on there".
Then I saw some pictures of some old units, and realized they just havn't changed thier looks in the last half a century!
I wonder if the newer units share any panels in common with the old units from 20+ years ago?
I'm not knocking the brand, everything I have ever seen about them on the web is good. To bad they don't have any distribution down here for the gas furnaces at least.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

The eac failed years ago and it now houses a media filter. The old set up did not have dampers in the system to stop recirculation, but it does now!Originally posted by control_noob

Mark,
Yes they do share panels from years ago. Thermo will ship the units anywhere in the US. 99% of their orders ship the same day. I'm lucky though. I can drive about an hour and load it up!

Nothing prettier than a new ThermoPride. Need to stop by the lake and see if the fish are bitting when you pick a furnace up
