I have never seen or been near a white christmas. This is a first. Its rare to get snow in Houston, period. But this was a nice treat on christmas eve. We have 6" of snow on the ground south of houston, close to the bay and its still coming down. Tomorrow will be a treat. Just how christmas should be.
My daughter is so excited. "daddy, this is so coooool". I have been taking pictures like crazy to help with the memories of this awsome gift. I will post some of them later.
Merry Christmas everyone. Stay warm.

Jason, same here in Victoria. I'm 50 years old, never have I seen a White Christmas. About 8" snow so far and still coming down. Great idea with the pictures. Your children are not likely to see this again in South Texas. Roy

I drove over to check on the grandchildren earlier. Slipping and sliding. My hat is off to our friends north of us. Really don't know how they do it and survive. Went to love on the wife, She said "Your hands are cold", get away from me. I think that was a term of indearment!

Ironically, in my part of Canada its 10 deg. C or 50 deg. Been a mild winter so far thanks to chinook winds over the Rockies on our prairie butts, but the north winds are coming.
Can get -30 deg F or lower!

Yeah, mccool, I like your signature. I love my Redhaired wife. But she's just like the deer down here, small ass and a big rack!

gotta hate that snow, i have a nefew who has lived in houston for 3 years now, he grew up in the mountains of tn. always complaining of no snow in houston. he left there last night driving to sc, should arrive here tonight. when he goes back he is moving to southern cal. sounds like he missed his best shot of playing in the snow.
i wanted to put a picture here

Well it a good thing it the holiday and most texans are staying home.
I can just see it now, five fellow standing on the side of the road, with ten gallon hats in there hands,Wondering what the hell happen when they it there breaks and the car kept going.
If you guys want a good reciepe for snow cream I got one.
1- big pot of white snow,no yellow snow.
2 to 3 cans of evaporated milk, its the only kind for hvac trademans.
1/4 bottle of vanilla extact or any favoring extract.
5 pounds of surgar,just kidding,at least 2 1/2 cups.
Mix all,eat a bowl,then go grab a blanket.
Happy Holidays!
