I'll have to try those cookies. Last week I asked around for a Rum cake recipe. This is what my boss gave me.
Best Ever Rum Cake
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1 cup dried fruit
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups butter
2 large eggs
lemon juice
nuts
1 bottle rum
Before staring, sample rum to check if it's of highest quality. Two shots should do nicely. Select large mixing bowl. Check rum again. Swirl it slowly in the mouth before swallowing. Take at least five sips. Beat 1 cup butter in the bowl. Add 1 cup of rum. Check it's quality to make sure. Hold it up to the light and then slowly drink a shot glass full. Rum must be aged and very smooth. Add 1 seaspoon of thugar and beat again. Add another cup of rum. Drink 1/2 first to ensure room temprature. Add leggs, 2 cups fried druit and beat until high. If druit gets thtuck in featers fry loose wish a drewscriber. Shample rum again. Sheck it ish besht qua.qua.quality. Next, sift 3 cups of pepper or salt, doeshnt matter. Fold in shopped butter and strained nuts. Add 1 bablespoon of brown thugar or any damn colour. Wix mel. Grease oven. Turn cake pan to 350 gredees. Pour into boven and ake. Check rum again and if bottle ish empty, bo to ged. Simply murbelous!

Don't have any cookie receipe...
When I was single I use to enjoy a great 7 course meal several nights a week. It consisted of a six pack and a bag of potato chips.

Back in the seventies it was hash brownies and a bottle of Wild Turkey to boost the holiday spirit.
