    E2 problem

    Hi all
if i try to change anything on any system, the controler will loose all inputs n output settings for that system
if i just want to change the temp or a defrost i can't even read the temperature anymore so i have to redo all I/O settings
    any ideas on this?????
by the way this is a brand new controller so i just want to be sure the E2 is the problem.
    thanks

I don't know about you, but I have called CPC tech support several times. I would ask my CPC questions here if I wanted any answers!

I haven't had any trouble with their tech support for the past 15 years.

Yeah but I don't see anyone chaulking up any answers to this question, which I know will be difficult one to answer and is going to start with a bunch of things to check. First thing I'd try if it is cpc is restoring the controller from ultrasite and look into the network device setup and see if any input boards are offline.

Ditto but first clear out the program so you can start clean then restore it through ultra site.

I have had the opposite. I am able to get in touch with them easily enough, but they seem to struggle to find a solid answer to my question. Many times they aren't able to.

It is beginning to sound that way. I have yet to see one fail myself. The only thing I would try that you might not have yet would be to unplug all the networks (buses) from the controller and see if it still happens.

I once had a Comtrol 4k do similar things and the problem was damaged / shorted local bus.
