Is the HVAC excellence test worth the time... anyone have any input the test(s)

Any test you take will help.
Some employers will care, some won't.
It will give them something to look at when it comes time to hire, promote, reassign, etc.
Go for it.
Get all you can, can all you get, then sit on the can.

The biggest difference between the HVAC Excellence exams and the NATE exams is that NATE requires continuing education hours and a certification renewal every 4 years while HVAC Excellence certification does not. HVAC Excellence certification is good for life and does not require you to renew the certification.

I don't think any of those tests really matter. They're just gimmicks to try to get the phone to ring more frequently.

Hence, taking the test vastly increases the frequency of excellent service calls.....

accually, in the brochure, it does state that the cert. needs to be renewed every five years
