    Cool question??

    if doing an annual , machine is running fine and water temp is good., but we want to run the machine 100% for 30 min to see what happens ., or may be try to move some oil around., how is the machine going to allow this to happen ??

    That can be tricky at times. You'll have to put a load on the machine one way or another. Either by running the setpoint down a few degrees or shutting the chiller down for a few minutes and restarting it if possible. Pretty much depends on the demands of the building as to what you can do.

    i always do them first thing in the morning before they come on, usually the mechanical ciilong comes on at 7 or whatever
    for example this morning working at the mall, it usually comes on at 9 oclock
    he let the mall warm up until about 10 or so.
    the return water will be 75 degrees and the machine will load up nice...

    one more thing, if running @ 100% , does that help bring oil back or is it the other way around.,running say 40%??

    Better oil return with chiller running loaded.

    If you have preheat coils on the AHU's you can run the setpoint up to 90 deg. or so to give you a false load.
