Least we forget Herbie Hancock. I have a vinyl record of the V.O.S.P. Quintet that is a good example of his early traditional jazz work. Here is a fantastic version of "Cantelope Island" featuring Pat Metheny on the guit fiddle or whatever you want to call a computerized guitar.

Oh, and to all you metal heads out there who think the old man is out of touch, I listened to XM Xl Liquid Metal for about three hours today while driving. Like all music, there was some good and some bad.

Listening to music is a funny thing. If you listen to any style of music long enough you will learn to like it.

How many of you out there play an instrument.
Signature on hold. Trying to find a real Jefferson quote I like. Others here have bogus Jefferson quotes too.

Started with The Brecker Brothers and moved on to Miles and then the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the late sixties and early 70's.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra album "Visions of an Emerald Beyond" blew me away, with the help of some whacky backy from Thailand, when it came out in 1975. Jon Luc Ponty the jazz violinist on the album gives a stunning performance. I highly recommened listening to this album very loud on a good system. Here is one cut off the original vinyl album.

I thought at one time that Cobham was the drummer. It is actually Narada Walden who is another great fusion drummer. Walden is touring with Jeff Beck right now.

I heard it on a nice McIntosh system system with klipschorn speakers that Paul Klipsch himself setup. My room mate was from Hope, AR and worked in the summers for klipsch. (note: McIntosh audio gear is not associated with Apple computers and is still made in America.)

This is basically my system except mine is all rebuilt original and My amps are 40 wpc not 75. I have Klipsch Chorus II speakers. I assure you I can attain ear splitting volumes. The Klipsch speakers sound great when I drive them with a 2.5 watts per channel single ended tube amp I built a few years ago.

Then, after watching, play the game. Can you escape the asylum? I'm stuck at the keyboard room with the inmate. I'll try again later. Might be even scarier with a webcam.

No more! The crap rolls out your mouth again
Haven't changed, your brain is still gelatin
Little whispers circle around your head
Why don't you worry about yourself instead
Who are you? Where ya been? Where ya from? Gossip burning on the tip of your tongue
You lie so much you believe yourself Judge not let's ye be judged yourself
Holier than thou You are Holier than thou You are You know not

Before you judge me take a look at you Can't you find something better to do?
Point the finger, slow to understand Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand
It's not you are it's who you know Others lives are the basis of your own
Burn your bridges and build them back with wealth
Judge not let's ye be judged yourself
Holier than thou You are Holier than thou You are You know not
Yeah who the hell are you? Hey yo
Holier than thou You are Holier than thou You are
