They are once again on tour as we type, hitting Houston at The House of Blues November 19. Thinking for a B-Day present to myself I'll be going.

Oh, and to all you metal heads out there who think the old man is out of touch, I listened to XM Xl Liquid Metal for about three hours today while driving. Like all music, there was some good and some bad.
Listening to music is a funny thing. If you listen to any style of music long enough you will learn to like it.
How many of you out there play an instrument.
Signature on hold. Trying to find a real Jefferson quote I like. Others here have bogus Jefferson quotes too.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra album "Visions of an Emerald Beyond" blew me away, with the help of some whacky backy from Thailand, when it came out in 1975. Jon Luc Ponty the jazz violinist on the album gives a stunning performance. I highly recommened listening to this album very loud on a good system. Here is one cut off the original vinyl album.
I thought at one time that Cobham was the drummer. It is actually Narada Walden who is another great fusion drummer. Walden is touring with Jeff Beck right now.

I heard it on a nice McIntosh system system with klipschorn speakers that Paul Klipsch himself setup. My room mate was from Hope, AR and worked in the summers for klipsch. (note: McIntosh audio gear is not associated with Apple computers and is still made in America.)

This is basically my system except mine is all rebuilt original and My amps are 40 wpc not 75. I have Klipsch Chorus II speakers. I assure you I can attain ear splitting volumes. The Klipsch speakers sound great when I drive them with a 2.5 watts per channel single ended tube amp I built a few years ago.
