Any one heard of this new compressor? Word has it that they are magnetically driven and made in Italy? Just looking for info on this to broaden my horizons.

I found this on a Daikin site;
Daikin pulled their HVAC line out of the U.S. market back in the 1980's.The latest models incorporate the new Daikin swing compressor which achieves maximum efficiency with low noise levels. The design of the new swing compressor reduces friction during operation for a smoother rotation with less vibration, and it also prevents the leakage of refrigerant gas during compression. The indoor units are compact and designed to blend unobtrusively into any room. The outdoor unit's quiet but powerful
performance make them particularly neighbour-friendly!
There is also an "Engel swing compressor" that is 12v.
I had not heard of these till now but have a feeling we are dealing with technology that can only handle low loads.
