Generally that first high they recieve is from weed then its time for something better. Comparing this situation to alcohol is rediculous.
I don't want to sound offencive but I don't think you or your sources understand the nature of addiction. The "gateway drug" is as out of touch as the movie Refer Madness, 1939 I recall.
I can remember my health class in school showing this sneaky looking guy in a trench coat trying to get a kid to take a joint. The message is just one puff and your an addict. Our teacher warned us " It can look just like a real cigarette. Sensational misinformation.
There is a reason some are drawn to addiction and it's not the other way around. First the addict then the drug of choice.
    Tracers work both ways.

Yeah because I am sure college criminal justice and narcotic education classes are just lying to us. What is refer madness, generally the first step is marijuana, the feeling that comes from the high becomes more and more powerful until the marijuana high can no longer please the user in many cases. Not every situation occurs like this but there is a majority that can be linked to weed, therefore legalizing weed is not an answer to anything.

weed is now a gateway drug? Since when? I didn't know that. No one told me that. Where is this gate suppose to be at?

Someone who talks about weed and categorizes it as anything more or less than beer has never been so blind and ignorant of the whole matter. You know they never smoked a joint before.

Weed for a drug addict is something they settle for not enjoy.
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

you are funny. You don't even realize how foolish you look after this post.

If weed was the precursor to the other, over half this country would be cookin meth in there kitchen tonight. Ove3r half the worlds population would be running around picking at their skin.

Your ignorant to the way things are. You read too much and you got no street sense at all.

This is why rentals scare me today! Tax write off, yea right...
I have bought several meth houses for the cost of the lot, gutted them, sprayed everything down with Kilz. Then I rewired, replumbed, and installed HVAC. New windows and doors. I replaced the pine siding with Hardie plank and used cedar for trim. New insulation everywhere including under the floor. These are all crawl space houses. I laid plastic down on all the exposed dirt under the house. The floors got glued and nailed down underlayment, the subfloor is 5/8 Hardie backer laminated down with thinset mortor and screwed down with 32 screws per plank. Then I do the entire house in a nice 13x13 ceramic tile. Renters can buy rugs if they want them and I can throw them away if they leave them. A new roof was installed if needed.

If I sold them they would sell for $120 a foot in a matter of days. That is the same price as it was before the housing crisis.

I have had very good luck with renters. I do have the right to periodically check the properties condition and I do. No problems so far.

The houses are in a neighborhood that is transitioning back to good because people are selling or losing their McMansions and are moving into smaller homes and fixing them up. The average house size is 1000sqft to 2000 sqft. Rent is from $750 to $1200 a month. My rentals are never vacant.

I passed on the house that had 200 cats locked in it for two weeks after the owner moved and abandoned the animals. I would not even set foot in the house. I did learn that a cat will eat a cat.
Signature on hold. Trying to find a real Jefferson quote I like. Others here have bogus Jefferson quotes too.

If you are going to censor the mention of God when it is relevant, then move the entire post. Not doing so is a disservice, and smacks of a totalitarian regime, is it suggests to me that someone here finds God more offensive than Meth. I want to hear someone respond to that from behind the curtain.

This nation was founded by men who belived that our rights and responsibilities come from God. If we cannot acknowlege that simple fact, we deserve what we get from our enemies.

In order to sell Meth, you have to suspend or be devoid of moral thinking. That only happens for one reason, save for a severe sociopathic mental defect. If that is not obvious to everyone, we are in greater trouble than I have imagined.

I really don't think the moderators have to explain anything to you(or me).
If it bothers you so much, may I suggest, a PM to the moderator of your choice.

Funny thing is you did not read the whole thread, or maybe you are unable to comprehend what is going on in the thread. Previously posted was the idea legalize weed I suggested that it was very wrong for such an action due to the fact that weed has been proven to be a gateway drug, NOT ONCE DID I SAY EVERY POTHEAD MOVES TO BIGGER THINGS, AND NOT ONCE DID I SAY THEY ALWAYS MOVED TO METH I WAS STATING THAT WEED IS GENERALLY A STARTER DRUG AND PATH TO WORSE THINGS. Advice for you would be learn how to read. You are making yourself sound foolish here, and by your defensive stance you most like smoke weed. Learn to read buddy, this post towards what I said could not be more inaccurate.

Seriously, read the whole thread before you chime in. I never said a word about alcohol. Gate is not referring to a physical gate but more like an opened pathway or ideas if you will, thats great your not intelligent enough to identify a metephor either. I never smoked a joint before big deal im not a burnout like someone else here

Go back to school and practice your reading skills that way you dont make yourself look foolish, as well learn to identify metaphors and things of that nature. Since your going back I recommend a criminal justice and narcotic education class while your at it that way you have some knowledge of what your spewing rather than just your hands on experience with puffing it up.
