    ebm-papst LambdaConstant

Anyone ever used or come across one of these? I am researching using one in my combustion project but am having some difficulties garnering field information...

Thanks in advance, I'm prototyping, not trying to fix one at home...

So I guess after all this time that no one in North America is into this stuff? Sort of disappointing...

In the US, Pabst is a beer, Lambda is a symbol used by the Gay Rights movement, and a constant is a fixed algebraic value. Ok, kidding aside.

Is part of your post title the brand of a gas fired furnace??

This is a burner technology that uses electronic motor speed control, electronic gas valve flow control and a mass air flow sensor to continuously vary the air fuel mixture for optimum combustion efficiency. A short Youtube explanation can be viewed by googling "gas blower with lambda constant system". This is the stuff of the future, just like the difference between ECU controlled fuel injection and carburetors in the automotive world... my opinion only...

    ebmpapst is the inventor/manufacturer...

    Okay, that's sounds familiar.

Lambda is one of the system names developed by Bosch for the Volkswagen FI system.

I was not aware that a feedback loop technology was being applied in HVAC.

Was recently informed that the Heat Transfer Products (Massachusetts) model "Elite Plus" boiler apparently uses this ebmpapst LambdaConstant blower and gas valve system, and there may be other North American manufacturers using this technology also. Will keep on researching...
