    No HX was'nt cracked, just wanted a more efficient system.

    But of course you do...

    So what do you do, take an 80 yr old customer and put him in a headlock til he dishes out the extra scratch for an air cleaner?

    Couldn't you used the old air cleaner? or replace the cells with a Media filter.

    If I remember correctly, he didn't want that thing anymore, said it was too hard for him to remove the door.. I think. I usually always recommend to remove the old cells and replace them with a media.

    Looks real nice 2hot2cool. Just out of curiousity, do you bend that sheetmetal on site? If so, what is your set up like.

    A lot of those relic EACs had wierd sized cells so just popping a standard size media in may not be an option. We have a local filter company make a 4" MERV 7 media on occasion.
