    EdgeStar Portable Air Conditioner AP12000HS-1

    Can anyone tell me about an EdgeStar Portable Air Conditioner AP12000HS-1. This unit is an air conditioner and heat pump. I purchased one in June and the air worked fine. Last week I needed to run the heat pump and it would not funtion properly. I set the temp to 76F with the room ambient temperature was at 74F. The unit ran for a short period of time and then shut off with the temperature showing 80F while the room temp was still 74F. EdgeStar intially told me that it looked like an sensor issue, but now they are saying that the heat pump will not work if the room temp is over 60F. Could someone shed some light on this.
