Yeh, you're right, you're lucky if it is that heavy. Notice the amount of "econpmy grade" pipe that is sub 30 ga.

Unfortunately, duct board is always pointed out as the problem when the simple truth is it shouldn't have been used in that application in the first place, just like 28 GA.

We don't get heavy winds in my area. The multiple taps through the roof helped keep it from blowing away I suppose.
