Near the top left of your screen should be a 'User CP'
Click there and find 'manage subscriptions'
You will probably need to spend a few minutes deleting all of them.
Also, change the default to no notification or the next new thread you reply to will start it all over again.

Turning off e-mails -
I know how you feel - I used to feel that way myself. But the horrible truth of it all is that There Is No Way to Stop The E-mails.
No matter what you do - they just keep coming! Probably no one reads through all that 'fine print' when they sign up, I know I sure didn't. But, buried down there in about paragraph 657, is the part which states that you will Never be let out of your agreement to receive these e-mails. The Agreement actually extends out to three generations, but so what? We will all be dead then anyway.
Just like you; at first I tried asking them to stop, and then I took various actions on my own. But nothing worked: day after tedious day they kept coming, and coming . . . . there was just No End To Them!
Finally I moved to a house situated two and a half miles back up a rutted dirt path, had first my internet service cut off, and then the telephone disconnected, and finally in desperation; I had my electricity turned off and gave my computer away to some old
toothless eskimo peddler woman.
And Still - every single day, without fail - more and more e-mails arrive.
By now I have just learned to relax and accept it.
You will too . . . in time.
And at least you will be able to take comfort in knowing that, no matter what happens . . . . we are Here for you!

Here's how to stop the automatic emails:
1. Click on User CP at the top left of the screen.
2. In the left sidebar under Settings & Options, select Edit Options.
3. In the box titled Messaging & Notification, you'll find a section called Default Subsciption Mode.
4. Click on the down arrow on the dropdown menu box and select Do Not Subscribe.
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Saves Changes and your done.

If that doesn't work, cover them with some cheese and but them under the broiler until the cheese melts. "email au gratin."
