The 14th Amendment of the US Constitution reads, in part:

So let's say a police officer stops me on the street, on suspicion of being an illegal alien (SB1070 says he can). I tell him that I'm a US citizen, and that he has no authority to detain me. He thinks I'm lying, so he arrests me "to establish my immigration status" (again, being in full compliance of the new law).

By depriving an American citizen of his liberty, without due process of law, the police officer is in violation of the Constitution.

SB1070 says they can stop and ask your status. But thats not actually whats happening is it.

The only time the police ask immigration status is during "other infractions" such as a speeding stop.

On top of that, 1070 is nothing more than a Federal law that's all ready on the books.

It is more than that. It gives authority to ask for "papers" and detain.

I am a US citizen and I always have my ID on me, or it is in the truck or car, when I am pulled over I have to show my drivers license, when I go to a bank I have to show my ID, when I pull a permit, I have to show my contractors license and ID, when I write a check i have to show ID, when I vote I have to show ID, sometimes when I buy beer I have to show ID even though I am 45.

No this Arizona law shreds the Constitution. It uses parts of federal law and adds to it genius. No I am staying right here and protecting the Constitution. This is just a suggestion of course. Maybe you ought to find some fascist haven and live there. It would be more in keeping with this view.

The reason the Obama administration is against Arizona enforcing the fed govts own law is because his master plan is to follow the one world govt plan.
Part of that is to make the USA, Canada and Mexico as one country.
GW Bush (another big govt progressive) was for this as well.
That involves shreding our constitution and giving us a constution that is closer to Venezuela.
Of course that wouldn't happen until a total collapse of our economy which Obama would like to oversee in his present term.
The overwhelming of our healthcare system (taxpayer funded) and social security administration with baby boomers, unemployment benefits for illegals, bailouts for large union orgs.,welfare and all other freebees that we pay for need to be collapsed along with our unsustainable debt before Obama can claim victory.
That and the fact that many illegals bring in drugs to keep America stupid. Along with the colleges indoctrinating our youth with the liberal way of thinking.
Also Obama wants amnesty so he can have 10 million more votes.

SB1070 is not federal law it goes beyond it. It is a no brainer the courts will knock it down. It will violate the 14 amendment as previously pointed out. But that never stopped a fascist.
