There are some key characteristics of all liberals:
1) They don't discuss the topic, they attempt to discredit the messenger.
2) They believe that their views are reasoned and intelligent, and opposing views represent ignorance, fear, or evil intent, blindly following apostles of evil.
3) They believe they are smarter, and that everyone should operate in their framework. Oddly, they don't believe that a third party should dictate what they themselves as individuals should do, but what those ignorant and unintelligent other people should do.
4) They rarely discuss a topic. They first ascribe your position to a specific person or group. That group by their definition is either stupid (e.g., their narrative about Sarah Palin, Gerald Ford, George W Bush, and Ronald Reagan or evil as they describe Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, Henry Kissenger, Richard Nixon).
5) As a result they rarely understand what they are talking about and misinterpret the reasoning.
The net is Glenn Beck held a huge rally. It was totally benign. While in all probability attendees would vote against the Democrat candidates for national or statewide office this November better than 20:1, it never talked about that or attacked any group.
At the same time there was a counter rally. It was organized by people who make their living (and have always made their living) as racial agitators. It was full attacks on other parties, including the Beck rally happening at the same time. It was composed nearly totally of members of a single racial minority group. And it was small. Its attendees will probably vote for Democrat candidates for national and statewide offices by a ratio of over 20:1. It was advertised positively by the national media in advance. Not only were is members blind followers, the organizing group paid to bus them to the event.
