I have a client in Loudon County Virginia who purchased a used Gas Fired Dryer. 48" Wide COnveyor with a 8 ft "Oven" section. The unit has a 15" turbo axial fan. They intend to operate the oven around 200 F. My question is what type of ducting is necessary to exhaust the oven? Is the spec based on the intended operating temperature or the capability of the unit? Does the discharge need to be elevated above the roof? Is special roof curbing required?

I would contact the Local Jurisdiction and ask the Mechanical Inspector directly for the answer if you don't have the Code Book handy for that area.
