How to connect threaded 3/4 pvc adapter to drip pan under A-coil
I am adding a 3/4" pvc drip drain from the A-coil drip pan.. I am using a 3/4" adapter (male threaded) into the drip pan (I am guessing as it appears I have to unscrew an existing plug to add the new line.
I am certain to no use pvc cement for the connection to the drip pan...what am I supposed to use?
Here is a pic for reference...I am adding another drainage line to the right side...it appears they used silicone caulk on the left side...is this acceptable?

My best advice, Don't use a tool to tighten.

What is wrong with the existing drain. One 3/4 PVC drain will usually keep up.
