    Here is what I did on such a project. I matched the old condensing unit to a new copleweld condnsing unit, then replaced the evap with a Russel coil. Added a new TX valve and apropriate supporting components.

    I agree, what you wrote about it appears to be a hack job where someone replaced the original unit with the wrong compressor!

    I tried to contact the OEM, but alas, they were useless.

    I think I remember it was Yuma who gave me some advice on model numbers to use for the retro.

    I had no luck trying to find a high temp or medium temp unit with that compressor on it. so I really have no idea what the capacity of that compressor is at a 20 degree SST.
    I would say if its not longer then 4' put in a 1/3 like a aea4440y tecumseh or a cope are37c3e-iaa. Copeland, either one would be a good match with that evap. good luck with it.

    ACTUALLY ITS 8' but ty ty ty. I thought the evap was a little small myself . going to see what others have in it. got 22 of these pizzarias , Ill just pick one , lmao.

    same size evaps in all the Stanley Knight makelines 8' long this is the copeland in one of them with same evap ....ART511E-IAA-901
