Tare weight of R-12 and R-22 30 lbs net cylidner?

Could someone post the tare weight or the gross weight(total) of a typical R-12 and R-22 30 lbs cylinder?

    Thank you

The weights aren't the same because the different manufacturers use different cylinders.

I'm aware there will be difference from brand to brand, but how drastic? and if I have gross weight of enough R-22 cylinders, I should be able to get calculate the range.

Why does that matter? If you weigh it when you remove it and log it or either write it on the cylinder the tare weight is pointless.

May be this will help you , it always works for me.

    Tare Weight = 30 + cylinder weight /1

If it doesn't go easy, you are not using a big enough hammer.

Any of you guys make some big honking wind chimes with empty cylinders?

that seems like it would be a neat addition to the patio or man cave.

A little monofilament, some 1x2s and whamo, instant conversation piece.

If you're acquiring someone's partially used container, then its imperative know the content's weight in order to evaluate the value.
