    Trane Xl19i & xv80 problem???

My boss's xl19i & xv 80 is having some problems??? I have not looked at but here is what he says it is doing. It well run fine but 2 times in the last month, he has noticed the xl19i running & freon line is frezing up but still keeps running while the attic installed xv 80 is not on. He has checked the clean efffecs filter & it is clean, checked the Aux. Switch no problems there. He can unplug the furance & then plug back up & system starts working fine again with no problems cooling. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Call a tech.

    Have someone check the blower.

Too much static pressure could overload the VS motor.

I would want to run some tests.

You could also have an evaporator defrost control added.

I am wondering what would have caused access static presure? THe clean effect is clean and no duct issuies. unless some of the dampers or reg. vents have been cut back robbing the unit of return. In turn causing it to work harder? Thoughts?
