can anyone tell me who makes magic chef furnaces need to locate a new self contained gas furnace with a/c for a condo

You are probably looking for a Janitrol thru the wall self contained that was made by made by Majic Chef local distributer here located in Pensaulken N.J not to friendly to diyers

Ed I did not and was not questioing your credintials.
My answer is factual having installed several of these units.
Although I did have a senior moment my bad I meant to say PATCO and they are made in New Jersey.
I happen to have a Patco furnace and it says Majic Chef right on it. Sorry !!! do a search under Patco. Also they just reintroduced replacement units for those thru the wall units using the existing sleeve.
Now that should help and their still in business. If I find their phone # I'll place it here. Once again sorry for the misinfo wasn't intentionl. getting older sucks.

United Refrigeration sell simular units Under "GPG" Series
Comfort Pack
they have the same size as the Magic chef or PATCO units.
Im Looking for parts for an older unit. Patco which is no longer made.

ED,
I don't know who manufactures Magic Chef, but if you're in Mass. check with The Portland Group for info. I get replacement parts for these units thru the Billerica branch.
