This Is Why We Are In Iraq

Any other questions? God please help our military forces hunt down and destroy this evil.
I pray not for an easy life but that I be a strong person.

Come on boys join the infata, we told you they wanted to kill muslems women and children, so its either kill them first or they will kill us!! Its the best case scenario for osama. If you blow up Iraq it would be even better, for them. This is a war of propaganda at this point, how we react will determine if it becomes a world conflict. Look at the history of how the big powers have faired against grass roots movements, look at russia and afghanistan, the contras, vietnam, chechnyea, the boston tea party. You can call them terrorists but they call themselves liberators of the poor. They are gaining more power all the time and more cannon fodder to throw at us. Bigger weapons and more troops don't stop these conflicts. Look at Sadam and the kurds, he gassed them but they are still there, the move they regroup, and they get more reasons for the people to join. When your only option is to fight or be destroyed by bombs, what would you do. This is not about who is right or wrong, or how we feel about beheading, or whether there were WMD or how bad osam and saddam are. We are now deciding if we are going to have another holy war. the president is being very careful about this he and his staff know the potential dangers, why don't you think he doesn't just blow them all to kingdom come! He is no dummy, the government is well aware of the stakes we are dealing with here. This is no more an iraq conflict than vietnam was a vietnam conflict, it was capitalism/communism. this is now becoming religionism. If you think I am wrong, I hope that you are right!

For the first part of your post , I would say we must oblige them. As I read on down , I also realize that by doing something rash would only give the rest of the world a view that we are conquering exterminators.

Maybe a concession could be made with approved world opinion. "For every beheading of an innocent person is lost 1 arab city.

There are consequences to real war. We have been fortunate enough in the past for these not to include the house and street that we call home. Those days are disappearing rapidly.

SOME form of peace must be agreed upon soon in the global issues, or life as we have known it will disappear all to soon. Force might help in the Sudan, but at the rate we're going, it's doing dowadiddie for us in the Middle East.

I'm sorry, but Israel is just one more nation on God's green Earth, and there are more places that need Democracy more than Iraq at the moment.

We need to think with something besides our endocrine system.

Don't know where you were but you might want to do some internet search on the dates 02-26-1993 or 09-11-2001. We have been attacked on our own soil by an enemy the like we've never seen before, and we need to defend our country, borders and culture with everything we have and if we offend a few, so be it.

But the problem is we haven't done anything about prevention,oh lots of legislation has been put in place that makes good citizens targets but nothing to deter actual terrorism.

Yes, I agree with you in theory. It's the practice I'm having problems with.

Indeed, it is coming to our own soil. But only in spectacular individual events. Try to imagine coming home from your last install to find that the military has cordoned off your entire subdivision, blocking freeway exits, not letting you in at all, because someone: set off a dirty bomb; launched missiles at a nearby power station, poisoned the water reservoir near your house, etc.

If we make this a complete win or lose situation with no way out, the opposition can and will get 'cornered beast' nasty. We are supposed to be the bright ones, can't we think our way out of this without turning the desert sands to green glass?

so far the practice has been to make the good citizens of the USA the prime suspects but allowing outsiders to roam free, hell they even give sick socialist incentive for them to be here.

BTW air of honesty, are you familiar with the Heglian Dialectic.you would probably find it an interesting read.

Sure Air of Honesty, I'm sure we can work out some kind of deal. We can start with "you only fly one plane full of innocent people into one of our buildings once every five years" or we could start with " only behead one american a month, but please pick someone who is not married, some kind of nurd guy or girl that no one likes" or just bomb a small shopping center in "your town, USA", that way we can cope with the losses easier! This is not your hometown PTA this is freakin war and they would chop your head off, spit down your neck and rape your wife and daughter (if you are so blessed) while you bled to death. Why can't people see the magnatude of what is going on in the world. This is not Rodney King day saying "can't we all live together" this is "you weak western animal , I will kill you for Allah!!"

You aren't studying past the headlines...

These people who are doing these things no more represent the will of the people than do those ghouls who used children for shields and poker chips in Russia. They're no more representative of the Iraqui people than the Whig Party was in the Revolution that made US free.

If we ever hope to have peace in the Mideast, we need to be ready to deal with all the frightened, brainwashed civilians. That is where the peace is at. Just like in reclaiming Europe in I&II. If the everyday person can't trust you to make them safe and not hurt them, you're going to have a hell of a time getting them to wake up and help themselves, let alone quit being defensive.

Oh, mankow, your widom is great, but what about that 'Right to Life" of every sacred sperm? Or the God given right to "Believe in your nation and government" that is held so dear by True Americans?"

Our true enemy is the 8-14 year old kid you see in all those photos of civilian casualties. What you don't hear is all the "I told you SO!" from the neighborhood wannabe who is instantly validated by the obvious 'militaristic ambitions' of the West as they attemp to jusify religious, justifiable rage in their displaced, adolescent rage against change.

We need to starve those ayatollah wannabe's for material to use against us. That requires discipline and resonsibility we haven't seen so far. Everyone with a pension has ducked, and not a soul in our admistration seems to have clue what "oops" means or implies.

We have to change the perception of the occupied peoples, just as we did in WWII. They have to know that every American soldier they see is a doorway to help and relief.

Right now, in the Middle East as we know it today, I doubt that few who entered France in 1944 could relate to what greeted our sons and daughters in Iraq.
