MI: Commonly used abbreviation for myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack.
The term "myocardial infarction" focuses on the heart muscle, which is called the myocardium,and the changes that occur in it due to the sudden deprivation of circulating blood. This is usually caused by arteriosclerosis with narrowing of the coronary arteries, the culminating event being a thrombosis (clot). The main change is death (necrosis) of myocardial tissue.
The word "infarction" comes from the Latin "infarcire" meaning "to plug up or cram." It refers to the clogging of the artery.

Damn..... I don't visit or post much on here anymore. So I'm just finding out about Carnak.
My very 1st post on here I was ranting and ragging on engineers. Mr Carnak introduced himself and proceeded to tear me a new one. From that shaky start we developed a mutual respect. I'll miss him. RIP He was a good engineer and a decent human being.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

Sorry to his family and ALL OF YOU who miss Murray. I remember him and his spirited words....one hell of a guy in my book...my prayers are with him and all of us who don't have him here as a reference.

My good friend Carnak's name was Murray Woodgate. He helped us on many project where we had humidity problems.

This post came in my email last night. I read "Carnaks" obit and remembered how knowledgeable his responses were.
Here is a quote from the memorial:

This year has been a bad year. I lost some people around me that were part of my life.
Mr. Carnak was not my friend and we were at odds on this here site. Never the less, I do recognize the fact that he was an asset to this forum and is missed.
Arpa is another that left this realm for the next. He was a good guy as well and is another missed soul.
