met him once in chicago for a show. and had many beers with him, and others afterwards.

The news of his passing comes as quite a shock.
Carnak was a fountain of HVAC knowledge and somewhat of an anchor member here, as well as other HVAC sites. He will be sorely missed by so many who have appreciated his help and friendship for so long.
Godspeed to you Carnak, Abby, Murray...our friend.
