    "Fieldpiece Instruments
    SMAN2 and SMAN3 - the only
    digital refrigerant manifolds on
    the market that automatically
    calculate target superheat"

Yea they automatically calculate Target Superheat if you have them inside and the proper probe attached.

Then drag them outside for the rest of the charging process.

Otherwise they manually calculate Target Superheat with a manual wet bulb input.

Well their statemant is true. The process, however, is just not practical.

Stargate gives Real Time Wireless Target Superheat. They just don't have a manifold guage to go with it.

Combine the two and then you have something.

Every time I think of Stargate I can't help feeling "That transmiter or that big ass wet bulb sensor sure would be an expensive piece of test gear to leave behind. I'm sure the customer will call me if I forget it.".

    Yeah, right

    Old Amprobes

I loved those older amprobes, used them with a Simpson analog meter, both top of the line pre digital

OK Gramps , we're both showing our age if you remember those.
I still have the old black analog Amprobe with volts and ohm scale. I trained on the the classic Simpson 260. Liked it so much I took out a loan to buy one to take in the field.
    Not a good idea.

I dropped the meter off a roof top when I was working a low temp refer job.

I still hadn't paid off the meter. Oh well/

Being Gramps is great. Got three of the little rascals.

When you get your first one it will rock your world.

Remember the RS1 Amprobe clamp on did ohms with the separate adaptor(for the battery and fuse),volts ac and amps ac. built in magnifier

Also the Amprobe electronic thermometer with a d'arsonal meter movement scale and the paddle probes, had the rca connection jacks to the meter?

Problem with the older meters no cat rates and safety people in some places check what you bring in.

What's funny is every time I throw out an empty coffee container I feel guilty.

Just seems a shame that somebody else could use them for some kind of storage.
