My worst nightmare with LiBr was being mistakenly told ( by a professional lab ) to raise the alkalinity of chromated solution. I did so and the yellow solution turned pink, then purple and it became a couple of seasons of filtering a purple paste out of the solution. Eventually I found I was given wrong advice and the entire problem was because the alkalinity was too high for chromate. I lowered the alkalinity and the problem went away. You might find that after lowering the alkalinity of the molybdate libr it can be mixed and for that advice I would check with Rocky Research.
I use Rocky Research out of Boulder NV for LiBr testing and they sell lithium chromate. Contact them for how to buy, but I believe after they test your sample they can sell the recommended amount. I have worked with their Michael Coronel and have been completely satisfied with their service over the past 7-8 years. Check out their website rockyresearch.com , click on services > analytical services > commercial. They used to offer more info on the site so I would just call them and go from there. Also Rocky Research is not the professional lab I refered to above.
To much work with too little time!!!!
