I installed a new 5 ton condenser unit at a daycare center. Pressure test fine, vaccume held 24hrs. Opened king valves then started the unit. Compressor sounds like a jack hammer and my guages do not show a change in pressure. Any help? This is a 3 phase unit and the compressor was pulling 11 amps when i pulled the power.

Sounds like you need to change the electrical input phasing to the unit.

next time bump the condenser fan if 3 phase for top discharge of the air,or push the compressor contactor in next time for 10 seconds and grab the suction if you feel the slightest heat reverse the 2 leads.
