Me and Mrs off to See Dave Matthews here in PNC Park tonight. Going with my twin bro and his wife. Stopping at the Rivers Casino first, where I will donate to the cause, then tailgate down at the park somewhere.
Actually, never been a huge DM fan but when I saw Zak Brown Band was also playing I got me some tics...........

Going to a newer band's concert, doesn't make you any younger. Your just an old man going to a concert.

I went to the DM concert in Little Rock last Summer. The main reason I went was Gregg Allman was the back up band. He bought along some of the greatest Southern blues rockers the world has ever known and put on a fantastic concert. The he performed a few tunes with Dave Matthews.

I must say the crowd was mostly drunk frat boys and skinny little drunk nymphs running around babbling on their smart phones. I had to take a bunch of group photos of kids who were more worried socializing then actually listening to the music.

I guess I was spoiled. I grew up on a steady diet of Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, The Doobie Brothers, Marshall Tucker band, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, and many many more classic concerts. The Dave Mathews band was OK. I would have rather seen his show at Red Rock instead I got a baseball stadium in Little Rock, AR.

I'd rather watch their old concerts on YouTube. You don't see a sea of gray out in the audience, and people shuffling in with canes and walkers, and a line of hearses waiting outside the hall.
