What are the requirements for condenser units located near gas meters?

Interesting that Karsthuntr indicates 10 feet in his area.
Here in Manitoba the online Dept of Labour gas regulation notices since 2001 have specified a minimum clearance radius of 3 feet from anything that is electric (a/c units, plugs, outside electric meters, etc.) and that is measured from the vent on the regulator not the meter.
I have seen a few older residential installations where the gas company has added a piped extention to the regulator vent to add clearence in special situations
Check with your local gas utility to see what the requirements are.
