compressor out on overload
I was working on a new trane unit 11 months old.The filter had never been cleaned and the unit froze up. thawed evap. coil and cleaned the filter. When I turned the unit back on the compressor was out on overload. Cooled the compressor, checked the voltage and capacitators, and ran the unit. Everything then worked fine amps, pressures, and superheat in line. Can frozen evap. cause compressor to overload?

Can't give any specific info here but IMHO it sure wouldn't do it any good.
This sounds like a PRIME oportunity for a user 'instructional session.'The reward for doing a thing well... is to have done it.
