I'm constanly amazed by some of the attitudes in this room. Some people think that by being marginally proficient at a trade that they're the s*** (spot) and this is license to be rude . I find most of these types are in fear of thier jobs and tend to be dismissive of anything in general, gossip and backstab. I don't mean to stereotype, but the perceived hard ass , flat - top , old school white boy thing is pretty old . Quit being so insecure - . Nothing so pathetic is an owner who abuses his employees or is flip whenever a question is asked. By the way 'TurdSpott' wasn't 'whining' about my knees - get over it - I would never work for you. For the most part everyone's pretty professional.

This site represents a cross section of hvac people, and is often a case study in human behaviour. I've found that we tend to be a little more opinionated as a group than people in other fields for some reason. When I first came here this shocked me, until I read some of my own replies and realized I fit right in

In my case, the desire to be here and learn from people who know more than I do about certain things outweighs my distaste for some of the attitudes I encounter.

You must make the same decision. If you decide to stay, you might want to grow a little thicker skin. I have.

You have yet to meet some of the more aggressive people here
